ARTEMIS MOURAT
Artemis Mourat has almost 50 years of experience performing, teaching and researching dance throughout the world. She is of Greek and Turkish descent and her love for both cultures shines through in all that she does. She has received numerous awards, is widely published and is a highly sought after master instructor. All of her classes include references to the history and cultures that have gifted these dances to us. Artemis is a loving and articulate teacher. And she believes that we can use music and dance to build bridges across cultures.

STUDY WITH ARTEMIS
Middle Eastern dance is based on natural movement so it embraces people of all shapes, sizes and ages. It appeals to and is accessible to everyone. In a warm and energetic atmosphere, students will learn and become empowered as they reconnect with their bodies. I emphasize strong technique which is embedded within a healthy movement vocabulary. I teach about the history and cultures that have given us this ancient art form. Students should leave a class feeling fulfilled. I believe that we can use music and dance to build bridges across cultures.
ONGOING CLASSES
Artemis has ongoing belly dance classes in her home studio in Maryland on Monday nights from 7:30 - 8:30. This is a mixed level class. For more information contact Artemis at artemisdances@yahoo.com
WORKSHOPS
Artemis offers over 30 workshops, intensives and lectures on all topics related to Middle Eastern dance. These can be tailor made to suit your students' level and interest. All of her workshops can be taught at your location or in her home studio in Maryland.
COACHING
Artemis is available for private lessons, semi-private lessons, coaching and for small groups in her home studio and upon occasion at your location. If you gather a group of students together, you can come to Studio Artemis for 10 hours of instruction on whatever topics you choose for a fixed price.
